TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to BlitzDeals Auctions! To ensure a fair and seamless experience for everyone, please review and follow these rules.

Registering for the Auction

  • Eligibility: Participation is restricted to individuals aged 18 or older. Accurate and complete registration information is required.

  • Credit Card Verification: A valid credit card must be provided for registration. A temporary $1 authorization may be processed for validation and refunded within a few business days.

  • Address Verification: The billing address provided must match the credit card's address for verification purposes.

  • Acknowledgment: By registering, bidders confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and supplementary policies outlined by Blitz Deals.

  • Discretionary Authority: Blitz Deals reserves the right to revoke or deny bidding privileges at its sole discretion . Grounds for such action include, but are not limited to, non-payment, fraudulent activity, abusive behavior, or repeated violations of auction policies.

Bidding Process

  • Binding Bids: All bids placed are final, legally binding, and cannot be retracted under any circumstances.

  • Bidder Responsibility: By placing a bid, bidders affirm their intent and ability to pay for the item if they win. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from future auctions.

  • Auctioneer’s Authority: Blitz Deals reserves the right to reject bids, cancel auctions, or disqualify bidders without explanation.

  • Notifications: Outbid notifications are sent as a courtesy and may not be issued during the final two hours of the auction.

  • Internet Bidding Platform Issues: Blitz Deals is not responsible for technical failures, connectivity issues, or platform malfunctions that may disrupt the bidding process.

Payment Terms

  • Automatic Payment Processing: At the close of the auction, the card on file will be automatically charged for the total invoice amount, including applicable taxes and fees.

  • Accepted Payment Methods: Blitz Deals accepts most major cards supported by Global Payments (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.). Customers wishing to pay via e-transfer or cash must indicate this preference during auction registration. Alternative payment methods are subject to Blitz Deals’ approval.

  • Settlement Notifications: Settlement receipts will be emailed upon successful payment, detailing the transaction and providing instructions for pickup or delivery.

  • Failed Payments: If a card is declined, an email will be sent with a settlement invoice and secure payment link. Payment must be completed within 24 hours.

  • Customer Responsibility: It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure their card on file is valid and has sufficient funds. Blitz Deals is not liable for delays or penalties arising from declined payments.

  • Taxes: All transactions, including buyer’s premiums and handling fees, are subject to federal and provincial taxes as per Canadian law. Tax exemptions are only applied upon valid documentation provided before the auction closes.

  • Identification Requirement: Government-issued ID may be requested for verification at Blitz Deals’ discretion.

Abandoned Items Policy

  • Automatic Follow-Up: Blitz Deals will send reminders to unpaid buyers before the abandonment process is finalized.

  • Paid but Not Picked Up: Customers who pay for their items but fail to pick them up or arrange delivery within one week will have their items deemed abandoned unless they contact Blitz Deals via email before the deadline. Abandoned items will be relisted without notice, and no refunds will be issued.

  • Unpaid and Unpicked Items: Items not paid for or picked up within the specified timeframe will also be deemed abandoned and relisted.

  • Delinquent Accounts: Blitz Deals reserves the right to disqualify customers with unpaid or abandoned items from participating in future auctions. Delinquent accounts may be reported to a collection agency, and all associated fees will be charged to the customer.

Item Pickup

  • Scheduling Pickup: Pickup is by appointment only, scheduled via the link in the settlement email.

  • Rescheduling Appointments: Customers may reschedule by revisiting the original link or emailing info@blitzdeals.ca.

  • Curbside Pickup Rules: Curbside pickup is offered as a momentary service due to traffic regulations. If more time is needed, it is the customer’s responsibility to find alternate parking. Items will only be brought to the curbside (garage door entry). If the customer is parked elsewhere, Blitz Deals staff will push the items to the curbside, and the customer must use the provided order pickup platform to transport items to their vehicle. The platform must be returned promptly after use. Blitz Deals assumes no liability for any risks or damages incurred during this process.

  • Inspection Responsibility: Customers must inspect their items upon pickup and ensure all items are accounted for before signing the pickup confirmation sheet.

  • Missed Appointments: If a customer cannot attend the scheduled pickup, they must notify Blitz Deals at info@blitzdeals.ca to reschedule. Failure to do so within the same week the settlement email is sent will result in the items being deemed abandoned.

  • Priority for Appointments: Customers arriving without a pre-booked appointment may face extended wait times as priority is given to those with scheduled appointments.

Delivery Options

  • Shipping Option: Blitz Deals offers shipping exclusively through PkgPlace. Buyers must coordinate delivery directly with PkgPlace by visiting pkgplace.com.

  • Customers must select the "shipping required" checkbox during registration for the auction. Items will not be released until full payment is complete.

  • Responsibility Post-Release: Blitz Deals assumes no responsibility for items once they have been released to PkgPlace.

  • Shipping Refunds: In the event of a refund for shipped items, shipping fees are non-refundable. Decisions on whether the item must be returned will be made during the refund process.

Item Condition & Returns

  • "As Is" Sales: All items are sold “as is” and “where is,” with no warranties, expressed or implied.

  • Condition Accuracy: Blitz Deals strives to provide accurate item descriptions and photographs. However, the description always takes precedence over images in cases of discrepancy.

  • Condition Categories: New (Contents Sealed): Item contents are sealed, though packaging may have been opened for inspection.

  • New (Open Box): Item is new but has been removed from the packaging.

  • New (See Notes): Item is new but may have notes indicating minor defects or missing components.

  • Used (Like New): Item appears lightly used or used once and may or may not include original packaging.

  • Used: Item shows normal usage and functionality.

  • Used (See Notes): Item shows normal usage but includes additional notes (e.g., scratches, scuffs, or minor defects).

  • Salvage: Item is sold for parts or repair and may not function as intended. Inspection

  • Responsibility: It is the buyer’s responsibility to read item descriptions carefully.

Refunds and Errors

  • Customers must email info@blitzdeals.ca with the subject line “Return Request” within 24 hours of receiving the item (either by pickup or confirmed delivery).

  • If an item is listed in error or cannot be located during pickup, the bidder’s sole recourse is a full refund for the specific item.

  • Eligibility for Refunds: Refunds are considered if the item’s condition does not match the description (e.g., listed as “New Open Box” but found to be used). Refunds will cover the cost of the product plus HST. The handling fee is non-refundable.

  • Refunds are reviewed within five business days and issued within 10 business days upon approval.

  • Shipping Refunds: Shipping fees are non-refundable. Whether the item must be returned will be decided during the refund process.

Fees and Premiums

  • Buyer’s Premium: A 10% Buyer’s Premium applies to all winning bids and is subject to change without notice. Changes will be reflected in the Terms and Conditions.

  • Handling Fee: A $1 handling fee applies per item.

  • Taxes: HST will be applied to the total amount, including the winning bid, Buyer’s Premium, and handling fee.

Liability

  • Indemnification: Buyers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blitz Deals, its affiliates, and agents from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the purchase, transportation, storage, or use of items, including but not limited to property damage, injury, fire, or other incidents.

  • Risk Transfer: Risk transfers to the buyer upon payment. Blitz Deals is not liable for loss or damage after items leave its premises.

Data Privacy

  • Blitz Deals values your privacy. Personal information is used solely for auction purposes and payment processing. Information will not be shared with third parties except to fulfill services, such as shipping.

Force Majeure

  • Blitz Deals is not liable for delays, cancellations, or non-performance due to events beyond its control, including natural disasters, technical failures, or government actions

Disputes

  • Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

  • Arbitration: Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the Ontario Arbitration Act. The arbitrator’s decision will be final.

Amendments

  • Blitz Deals reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review the Terms and Conditions regularly.
